Our Client, an established MNC in the agri-business sector, is seeking to hire an Environment Manager to join their expanding operations in Nantong. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.  Develop and maintain an environmental management plan to ensure compliance with the company standard and law requirement.

2.  Understand and manage the  environmental legislation such as the license to operate, environment monitoring/reporting and clean production project etc.

 

3.  Ensure that environment impacts are identified with robust and appropriate control measures in place. 

4.  Enable training to employees to develop the understanding and skills of good environmental practice and waste management

5.  Participate in new projects and provide expert advice on environmental pollution control measures, and monitor to ensure compliance and understanding.

6.  Adopt best industry practices, responsible for the ISO14001 program in site, which includes internal and external audit, environmental regulation assessment, environment impact factor identification and corrective and preventive actions etc.

7.  Undertake environmental internal audits to drive continuous improvement.

8.  Conduct environmental incident investigation

Top agri-food organisation seeking a HSE engineer to spearhead their new project, as well as maintain existing production plants. To be based in Nantong, this candidate is expected to:

 

1.   As HSE representative to support the new active ingredient project to ensure all HSE standards are fully communicated with the project team and implemented in the design.

2.   Manage the construction safety by developing the construction safety plan, coordinating/joining the assessment of the high hazardous works, regular field inspection /audit, providing the regular HSE report, following up on the improvement actions and communication with the contractors and project team on any HSE issues.

3.   Prepare the HSE related documents to support the acquirement of the license to operation.

4.   Coordinate/join the pre-startup and shutdown safety review to ensure the safe commissioning, startup and shutdown.
5.   Join the various HSE risk assessment in the plants to ensure the risks are identified and effective controls are in place.

6.   Provide compliance review for the permit to work to ensure the Permit to Work procedures are fully implemented.
7.   Provide compliance review for the management of change to identify the gaps and develop the improvement plans.
8.   Conduct the incident investigation, identify the root cause and develop the preventive and corrective actions.
9.   Provide HSE training to employees and contractor workers to ensure they fully understand Co's HSE standard and code of practice.
10. Implement the internal HSE audit plan and follow up on the improvement actions.

 

Requirements:

 

1. More than five years of working experience in chemical manufacturing company
2. More than three years of working experience on HSE management

3. Knowledge in safety, occupational hygiene and environment protection standard and regulations.

4. Professional knowledge on HSE management; familiar with the HSE license to operation.

5. Good communication and stakeholder management skill.
6. Good investigation, auditing and reporting skill.
7. Good oral and written English
